Skyline Announces Winners of Display Contest

SkylineMirageX

The Winner

To help launch its largest batch of new displays in its 29-year history, Skyline just completed a contest to pick their best new product by offering a free new display.

During April and May 2009, exhibitors were directed to an online contest page to choose their favorite new Skyline trade show display products.  The “voter turnout” was substantial, with 890 people judging the 6 new Skyline products.

The Mirage Backlit Display received the most votes for the Best New Skyline Product, and Dan Graham of Spintek USA, Inc. won a free display of his choice from among the 6 new Skyline products in the contest. Dan’s bottom line just got a nice little bump.

To see more information on the top 3 winners, and all Skyline’s new products, go to: www.skyline.com/new-products.

Exponents GLIDE™ (click image for large)

Exponents, Inc.’s new GLIDE™ is a portable exhibit system designed to bring big-screen digital technology to smaller displays commonly used in 10-x-10-ft. floor spaces and retail venues like auto dealerships, health clubs, bank lobbies and hotel and restaurant meeting rooms.

Priced below $5,000 and designed to support a 50-lb. 37-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) monitor large enough to effectively communicate an exhibitor’s main messages, GLIDE™ can change how marketers use portable exhibits.

According to Exponents’ President Bruce Backer,”With GLIDE™ we have a new and better way to approach messaging at shows. We can finally break free from a 30-year-old tradition of only using static printed graphics and signage in small trade show booths, which are a growth area in this business.”

MC2 Releases Industry Survey Results

Survey Says

Survey Says

MC² just released results from their online survey of trends affecting trade show programs. Results are based on 192 industry professionals’ opinions and concerns on budgets, strategic planning, program delivery, exhibit design/program design, and industry education.

As the economy continues to raise a number of concerns and uncertainty, it is not surprising that 78 percent of survey respondents expect to see their trade show budgets decrease in 2009. Conversely, the biggest concerns in delivering an event or show, with existing budgets, were identified as effectiveness (28.6%) and leads and follow-up (22.8%), according to the survey.
