Dallmeyer Gets a Job

The Dallmeyer
Phillipe Close, President of Brussels International Tourism and Congress, and Hervé Bosquet, Managing Director of Brussels Convention Bureau recently announced (with appropriate fanfare) the appointment of our good friend, Bob Dallmeyer as North American Sales Representative.
In his new position, Dallmeyer will work with the New York office of VisitBelgium, in addition to the Brussels CVB team. The appointment is supported by Brussels Mayor, Freddy Thielemans.
Close acknowledged that, “We have known Bob Dallmeyer for several years and welcome his expertise, as well as his network in the North American meetings, conferences, and exhibitions sector. As we prepare to inaugurate ‘The Square,’ an exciting new congress center in the heart of our city, we feel that Bob will be valuable for introducing this facility to the marketplace. In addition, he will be organizing visits for meeting, conference, and exhibition planners who may be interested in bringing events to our city.”
The Square (just in case you were wondering) is situated in the historic heart of Brussels, between the world famous Grand Place and Royal Palace. It will have more than 10,000 square meters (108,000 square feet) of multi-purpose meeting space, within walking distance of 5 thousand-plus quality hotels rooms. It will also offer the latest state-of-the-art technology to support events. It is scheduled to open in September 2009.
